The True Science Of Weight Loss 01
Ugh, right? Who wants to read an article about mathematics? You do! Would not you rather endure a little math to know upfront exactly how many calories you need to take a specific body of fat, protein and carbohydrates to ensure maximum weight loss without the "magic bullet", the plan of hunger, and everything is customized just for your particular body?
First, we will determine the amount of calories you burn at rest, or you Metabolic Basal levels (note the different equations for men and women). Take your current weight in pounds, divide by 2.2, and it's your weight in kilograms.
Next, take your height in inches, and multiply by 2.54 to find your height in centimeters. Now, let's find out how many calories you should consume to fulfill your daily calorie needs (Source: What Does Your Doctor Look Like Naked by Dr. Warren Willey).
For Men: 66.5 + (13.75 x weight in kg) + (5.003 x height in cm) - (6.775 x age in years)
For women: 655.1 + (9.563 x weight in kg) + (1.850 x height in cm) - (4.676 x age in years)
