Kaivalya describes the effect on the personality of being in a continuous state of samadhi. This is the state of inner freedom that strives to yoga. Kevala The word means "to keep yourself ', and Kaivalya times is explained as isolation or detachment. A person in the state of Kaivalya means the world so well that he is outside it, in the sense that he is not influenced by him, though he may well be in a position to influence the world. People in the Kaivalya behave like normal people, but they do not carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. They live in the world but they are not subject to it. They are not free from sensual perception or without the body, but they are a little different. Wherever they are, they are sure of themselves. This is Kaivalya. External forces have no power over a person like this, though he knows that the outside world very well.

According to yoga, the purpose of all creation is to give us a context for understanding what we are and what are not. When we understand this, then there kaivalya prakriti and has fulfilled its purpose. A person experiencing kaivalya see prakriti, the material world, just as it is without any meaning beyond that.

By practicing asanas become more flexible; practicing pranayama gain control over our breathing. Likewise, with Kaivalya: something that happens gradually, which is beyond our control. We can not identify the exact moment we reach this state. It's similar to when we sleep, we can not locate it. Or will we lose the time or do not sleep.

There are two forces within us: a conditioning comes from our old habits and experiences, the other is our new fitness that develops from our behavior change. In this condition, our mind is always wavering between the old and new. But when the old force disappears, the mind does not move further back and forth. We come to another state, and is perceived as a continuum.

These eight steps of yoga indicate a logical path which leads to physical health, ethical, emotional and psycho-spiritual. Yoga is not intended to change the individual, but rather allows the natural state of total health and integration in each one of us becomes a reality.
