Some athletes who wish to lower of fast weight can decide on the sacrifice of the muscular mass to eat a low protein diet. Nevertheless, most of the athletes they are interested in maximizing the loss of fat and reducing to the minimum the loss of muscle.

If on the aerobic training is being insisted, resistance training will be one more a smaller part of the program of training of the athlete, promoting a greater loss of muscular mass. The growth of the muscle cannot be hoped less than emphasis in the resistance training is put, but the loss of muscle can at least be restrained. After a period of loss of weight, the sportsmen who wish to make a period of training with weights to recover the lost muscle.
