    Re: Vitamins

Vitamins are compounds found in certain foods that are essential for our health and longevity. Our body needs them for growth, function, energy, tissue repair and disposal of waste. There are two categories of vitamins: water soluble and fat soluble vitamins. Water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin B and C must be part of our daily diet, our body no longer store these vitamins. The excess is excreted in urine. Fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A, D, E and K, are absorbed by the intestine and transported to different parts of the body through the lymphatic system, part of the immune system.
